The picture of Mickey Mantle was dedicated to Carl Erskine and it said, "To Carl, the greatest W.S. (World Series) pitcher I ever faced. 4K's (strikeouts) - The Mick." Carl Erskine pitched the most dominating game Dr. Bergantino had witnessed against the greatest team, the New York Yankees, who were second only to Babe Ruth's 1927 Yankees. He was a Hall of Fame player who struck out 14 Yankees, including Mickey Mantle, four times in the October 3, 1953 World Series game between the Brooklyn Dodgers and the New York Yankees.
